I lost my iphone and i don't have mobile me or any other tracking devices installed?

i didnt get the app because i didnt know it existed, is there anyway to find my phone now using the iphone’s gps?

how come people don't install GPS tracking devices in their car in case it is stolen?

I remember hearing Hulk Hogan installing a GPS tracker in his daughters car and being able to remotely to shut off her car. That got me thinking if you knew your car was stolen, and you had a GPA tracker installed you could notify the police or remotely shut the car down yourself. Is this possible?
